About Us...

Master Brice has been teaching and managing Martial Arts Programs in the Tri-State Area for the past 36 years.  Master Brice has taught 1,000's of students throughout the years in the Evansville and Newburgh Community. In some cases, she is now teaching second generation students. Master Brice began teaching Taekwondo at Indiana University in the late 70's. Master Brice's first Taekwondo Academy was a joint venture with her first instructor. The Academy was located on North Main Street and was a one room facility totaling 800 sq. ft.  In 1981, Master Brice moved her school to the North Park Shopping district (ATA Fitness Center) for the next 7 years where she purchased the school from her instructor in 1983. She continued to teach Taekwondo and run a Nautilus Fitness Center.  In the 1988 Master Brice moved to her facility of 3,200 square feet on North Heidelbach (Brice's Taekwondo USA Family Center) with two Taekwondo training floors.  It was from this facility that Master Brice opened her second and third locations in Newburgh and the West side of Evansville.  In 2002, Master Brice open her State-of-the-Art West side location at 5225 Pearl Drive across from the new Wal-Mart and relocated her North side school to the Northbrook Shopping Center across from IVY Tech, 3830 1st Avenue.
Master Brice specializes in teaching the American Taekwondo Association's (A.T.A.) system of Songahm Taekwondo, Extreme Martial Arts (XMA), as seen on the Discovery Channel, as well as, and the many Weapon's and Advanced Self Defense Training Systems of the A.T.A.  The Academy's official name is now "Brice's ATA Martial Arts".  Our focus is to train students to reach their Black Belt and beyond, and to become Leaders in our society.  Master Brice believes that Leaders are made, they are not born and her goal is to guide and assist all ages to do just that!

Since, Master Brice's first class was taught many years ago, the focus of her programs have remained the same:  to provide students the highest quality martial arts instruction available in a safe and positive learning environment that people of all ages can enjoy.  We strive to provide a good student-instructor ratio. Master Brice is a Regional Certification Coordinator and Instructor for the A.T.A.'s National Instructor certification program.  Our instructors are graduates of an instructor program that represents more than 40 years of research and development. He or she will be with you every step of the way to help you reach your individual goals (and maybe even reach some new goals you never before thought possible).
